I’m JokerP, the person behind Seichi-Shop. I care about the things I find, the stories behind them, and being straight with the people who stop by. That includes being open about where AI fits into all of this.
The eye comes before the price
I’ve been collecting and doing my own research since 2001. There’s a lot of time, curiosity, and experience behind what catches my attention, and I’m proud of the eye I’ve developed for finding interesting things.
Sometimes it’s the history. Sometimes it’s nostalgia, an unusual detail, or just that feeling that something deserves a closer look. The inventory process I’m building starts there: I personally choose the finds before looking into their value. Then comes the research and the work of getting them ready for the shop.
Where AI comes in
These days, I use a combination of my own skills and AI. It helps with research and identification, writing, organizing information, and building the website. I still do my own digging too, the way I have for years.
I’m also building an automated process to help with the work after I select an item. I guide that process and remain responsible for the shop, but that doesn’t mean I personally check every automated step. AI can get things wrong. A suggested identification or price is something to investigate, not something that becomes a fact just because a tool said it.
I don’t want to take all the credit for work AI helped me do. I also want you to know about the years of collecting, research, and personal judgment that I bring to it.
The finds are real
The cards, vintage media, and other collectibles on the resale side of Seichi-Shop are physical objects with their own history. AI helping me run the shop doesn’t change where those objects came from.
My standard for product photos is simple: show the item honestly. Cropping, resizing, and similar presentation edits should leave the item’s details and condition intact. Wear, damage, labels, and grading details belong in the picture, not edited out of it. You should be able to take a closer look and understand what you’re considering.
A little about my artwork
The Art & Designs side has a different story. My Redbubble designs come from artwork I made as a kid, through my teens, and into my early twenties. I’ve run that artwork through AI filters to give those older pieces another life.
The original art is mine, and AI is part of how those versions were made. That’s separate from the collectible inventory I sell through the other marketplaces, and I want that difference to be clear.
Have a question? Ask me.
If you want to know more about a find, a photo, or how something was put together, get in touch. If it’s about an order, message me through the marketplace where you bought it so we can keep everything together.
Thanks for taking an interest in the person and the work behind Seichi-Shop.
