Our Mission: Autism, Acceptance & Belonging

I’m JokerP: the person behind Seichi-Shop, a veteran, a collector, and an autistic adult. I came to understand my autism later in life. It’s part of who I am, so it belongs in the story of this shop too.

Room to be yourself

To me, acceptance starts with listening. Respect how someone communicates. Take their needs seriously. Give them room to be themselves, even when their experience looks different from yours.

Being accepted shouldn’t depend on having an impressive talent, a success story, or the ability to make everyone else comfortable. People deserve that respect as they are, including when they need support.

I’m sharing my own experience here. I don’t speak for every autistic person. We have different personalities, interests, challenges, and support needs. There’s no single way to be autistic, and nobody should have to fit one version of it to be understood.

The things we care about matter

A favorite card, an old game, an obscure anime, or a strange little find can mean a lot to someone. Maybe it brings back a memory. Maybe it’s a subject they could spend hours exploring. Maybe they just love it.

You don’t have to understand someone’s connection to a thing to respect that it matters to them. That’s a feeling I want to carry into Seichi-Shop: curiosity about what people care about, and room for them to share it without being judged.

What I want Seichi to stand for

The objects here have stories. So do the people who find their way here.

My mission is to celebrate that individuality and encourage more understanding, less judgment, and more room to belong. You don’t have to collect what I collect, communicate the way I do, or experience the world the same way to be welcome here.

That’s what autism acceptance means to me, and it’s part of what I want to build with Seichi.
