Neurodiversity & Community

For much of my life, I felt alone and had a hard time understanding myself or the world around me. I joined Vincent House. The longer I spent around people there, the more similarities I noticed, and the more my own experiences made sense. I’ve made friends since then, and having people in my corner helped me thrive. I want more people who’ve felt that kind of isolation to have a chance to find their people too.

The Autistic Pilgrimage

In The Autistic Pilgrimage: A Study of My Own Mind, I write about what I’m learning about masking, making sense of my emotions, and adapting without losing parts of myself. This is my experience, and I’m still learning from it.

One question I keep coming back to is how much effort it takes to get through an interaction that looks easy from the outside. I want room to adapt when it helps me communicate, and room to take a break, move, or write things down when that helps me stay part of the conversation.

Community Bridges

Through Community Bridges, Seichi-Shop aims to help people connect through shared interests and creative projects, with room for different ways to take part.

A collecting hobby or a creative project can give people something to talk about while they get to know each other. I want people to know what to expect before they join in and have room to take part in a way that works for them.
